RLPOA Accepts Turnover of Duck Pond & Common Ground!
We are happy to announce that the Duck Pond and common areas have been turned over to RLPOA. K. L. DeLany and the RLPOA Board of Directors also entered into a contract purchasing the Real Estate Office and lot. Although no decisions have been made on the building, the property is considered common area. We are very excited and you will see some changes in the upcoming months! (updated 8-27-10)
RAINTREE CRIME ALERT
Raintree is seeing an increase in thefts from vehicles. Officer Glover,
Community Interaction Officer, and Officer Oberweather have e-mailed me to
alert residents and to pass along these safety tips.
•Remove valuables from your vehicle and lock the doors/roll up the windows
(GPS units, iPods, laptops, etc are “hot items” right now).
•Don’t leave vehicles running unattended.
•Park in the garage, if possible. Otherwise, park in a well-lit area.
•Leave exterior lights on at your home after dark (especially lights over the
driveway).
•Call 911 when you hear or see any suspicious activity.
Every theft from vehicle report in July involved a vehicle that was NOT
locked.
Pass this e-mail to everyone you know in Raintree and let’s put a stop to
this criminal activity now.

Rules for watercraft parked in driveways!
At the Annual Meeting, resident's voted to allow watercraft and their boat trailers to be parked in the driveway during the boating season from May 1 to Sept. 30th. This will be voted on annually at our Annual Meeting, so this will be a test year. A few rules to follow: 1) watercraft has to be in operable condition 2) baring a current Raintree Sticker and 3) resident must be in good standing. The Board wants you to be aware that you should secure any items that may be stored in your watercraft. With the potential of theft, do not give them easy targets. Secure your valuables! Watercraft that are inoperable, not allowed on Raintree Lake, have no current sticker, are not "boat trailers" or being used for boats, the 72 hour rule will be enforced. If you have any questions, contact the office. (updated 05/17/10)
Adopt-A-Shoreline: Raintree
Lake currently has over 1,900 homes and we have a program that promotes cleaning
up the lake monthly! We all have friends and family visiting our beautiful
lake and what better way to show what a great community we have by how clean and
pristine our lake shore can be. W
e
care because we take pride in living in our community. See the "Shoreline"
for the adoption application.
To All Our Volunteers: Thanks for all you have done.
Why we continue to "clean up our lake shore"? Because we are proud to be residents of Raintree Lake. Because we know that by keeping our lake clean, we will enhance our properties. Because we know that our family and friends will be safe when they are swimming, fishing, and boating. Because we want this community to be the number one community to live in Lee's Summit.
